WHEN I CHECKED OUT 63rd Street & Halsted in Englewood in 2013 it was a barren intersection with one corner vacant and a community college across the street. Then I returned three years later and the landscape changed thanks to a new Whole Foods Market located in an unlikely community.

Here's the collage of pics from 2013
A new collage created in September 2016 on the day of the Englewood Whole Foods grand opening.
Hard to believe this is the same location today. Something got built on a vacant lot and yet across the street from the new shopping center where Whole Foods Market is located, a vacant lot created by a building gutted and demolished due to a fire.
