[VIDEO] LAST MONTH My Block My Hood My City went around the city of Chicago to ask people what the stars on Chicago's flag represents. Each star represents a significant event from Chicago's history for example two of the stars represent both the Ft. Dearborn Massacre & the Great Chicago Fire.

In this video, MBMHMC creater Jahmal Cole looks at one of the main settlers of Chicago - Jean (John) Baptiste Pointe du Sable. He is the namesake of Chicago's DuSable Museum of African-American History. On this day Mr. Cole is seeking to instill pride in all Chicagoans.
BTW, I really like his parting shot at the end of this video. If you can't handle your block you can't handle the complex issues of a big city.
