A US Air Force Academy (Official) superintendent wants people at the school to know, if you discriminate against anyone for their race or gender, you can get out. His statements come after racial slurs were found scrawled on the message boards of five African-American cadets' doors.

Prince Harry fell victim to a bit of snack theft on Sept. 27, 2017. In the stands at the U.K. vs. Denmark volleyball match at the Invictus Games in Toronto, Harry was enjoying a conversation with a man to his left when two-year-old Emily Henson, to his right, reached over for some of his popcorn. Harry joked with the daughter of his friend, Paralympian David Henson, and eventually gave her a few pieces. Source: ITNA post shared by TIME (@time) on

Cornell University’s Black Students United demanded the university start recruiting more black American students because the campus has too many African and Caribbean students Wednesday. Now this is definitely a case of reverse racism.
Black Students United, a group for students identifying with the African diaspora, handed the university president a list of twelve demands, with one of them dealing with the disproportionate representation of African students compared to black students on the campus.
“We demand that Cornell Admissions to come up with a plan to actively increase the presence of underrepresented Black students on this campus. We define underrepresented Black students as Black Americans who have several generations (more than two) in this country,” the group stated in their demands.

For these young people who are seeking a variety of offices from village and city halls to state capitals, they can use both Obama and Trump as role models.
An Army veteran who took a knee with a folded flag as President Trump’s motorcade passed by him on Wednesday says the president's criticism of NFL players who kneel during the national anthem is “totally wrong.”
Marvin Boatright told The Huffington Post that he hoped someone in Trump’s motorcade would notice him kneeling while wearing an American Legion hat and holding a folded flag as the motorcade passed by en route to Trump's speech on tax reform.
“For the commander-in-chief to call our citizens ‘sons of a bitches’ was totally wrong and beneath the dignity of the office that he holds,” Boatright told the Post.

Spike Lee declared President Donald Trump has been acting like NFL owners are “plantation owners” by urging them to fire players for kneeling to protest social injustice during the national anthem.
“When he says — he is really telling the owners — like the owners are the plantation owners and the guys playing in the league, they’re on the plantation,” the 60-year-told CNN Wednesday. “You can’t say anything. And so, the thing’s really escalated.”

via @tech_insider: Compared to your daily cup of coffee, getting the new iPhone X might seem like a big investment. In the US, however, the average smartphone owner keeps their phone for about 690 days before upgrading. That makes the cost of the iPhone 8 a little more than $1 a day. Considering the typical cellphone user touches his or her phone 2,617 a day, the value you get for your phone almost certainly exceeds that of your cup of coffee. Puts that daily cup in perspective, doesn’t it? 🖌: @bi_graphics #iPhoneX #iPhone #apple #coffeeA post shared by Business Insider (@businessinsider) on
The NFL just went full libtard. If you thought players taking a knee during the National Anthem was bad, you won't believe what just happened. Everyone's new hero Steelers' Alejandro Villanueva is now apologizing for letting his team down by coming out for the National Anthem.
Posted there yesterday and I wanted to excerpt this:
Meanwhile, Tom Bowen was on Rick Pearson’s WGN Radio show yesterday morning and made an interesting point about why so many mostly unknown unknown people are talking about running for this office. Donald Trump’s election, he said, “showed everybody that unconventional things can happen.” Bowen said it has “caused a lot of folks to reevaluate,” and ask themselves “Why not me?”Also remember as Trump encourages people who hadn't considered political careers to come out of the woods to run for anything from dog catcher to Illinois attorney general bear in mind only President Trump can be President Trump. Hopefully as you run for office in future you will recognize that you have to have something to bring to the table and it need not be controversy.

Ran into some situations like this at work. It is often awful to be associated with people like that. I've learned that people who are like this are either young, damaged, or not thinking much of work anyway. They are very comfortable being this way at work or perhaps close to crashing & burning on the job themselves.

But when black women share that we pose the same existential and literaldanger to them that whiteness does to us; and when black women ask us to give them the benefit of the doubt about street harassment and sexual assault and other forms of harassment and violence we might not personally witness; and when black women tell us that allowing our cousins and brothers and co-workers and niggas to use misogynistic language propagates that culture of danger; and when black women admit how scary it can be to get followed and approached by a man while waiting for a bus or walking home from work; and when black women articulate how hurtful it is for our reactions to domestic abuse and their rapes and murders to be “what women need to do differently to prevent this from happening to them” instead of “what we (men) need to do differently to prevent us from doing this to them,” their words are met with resistance and outright pushback. After demanding from white people that we’re listened to and believed and that our livelihoods are considered, our ears shut off and hearts shut down when black women are pleading with us.To another approach to this let's visit with Anthony Brian Logan who essentially skewers this piece. The instagram post I shared last night, well you see her face there. With the Philadelphia NBC affiliate her face was blocked so you can't identify her.
Her rant is another case of conduct yourself well, always because someone will pull out a camera. When they do and they upload it to YouTube or wherever, it could go viral. You could become famous for all the wrong reasons!
BTW, police in Delaware where this took place are looking into this. I'm not sure there is a crime other than that of rudeness or incivility. Otherwise I think she's suffering the punishment she's earned for now.

Wednesday night's latest round of deal making between President Donald Trump and Democratic congressional leaders is the latest evidence that the major political parties have lost all semblance of real power.Disarray?
Never before have we seen the leadership of both major political parties so humbled. That power vacuum is currently enabling the president to act without any loyalty to his own party, while working with whomever he pleases on whatever issues he wants.
It's why we have a Republican congressional leadership, headlined by a Senate Majority Leader with an 18 percent approval rating in his own home state, that could not deliver on its party's seven-year-long promises to repeal and replace Obamacare.
And it's why the Democratic Party is getting more and more embarrassed as its highly-experienced-but-failed 2016 presidential nominee continues to weaken the brand by going on a national tour blaming everyone else for her election loss.

Dan Liljenquist share the story of when he met with then Alderwoman Toni Preckwinkle to talk about the Institute for Justice's Clinic on Entrepreneurship, and she told him: "I'm opposed to self-employment. You give these people false hopes that they could ever earn a living on their own."Is this progressivism at work? Government is here to take care of you and it's not possible for you to take care of yourself. Here's the video below. [VIDEO]
Needless to say in a nation that supposed to have a two-party system one of those organizations Democrats or Republicans are in some serious trouble. Consider that if the Democrats didn't win the last Presidential election and also Republicans didn't win last year's election who did? Yeah I know Donald Trump is a Republican however Trumps ascension to the White House essentially bucked the power brokers of BOTH parties. [VIDEO]

One thing I guess I didn’t believe 16 years ago is that America would elect such a feckless President in 2008, and stand idly by while he flushed our global position, and security, down a left-wing toilet. But we did, and we’ll be paying the price for a long time.President Obama is feckless and time will tell if President Trump wouldn't be viewed the same way. All the same this caused me to think about how sleep I had been during most of the eight years Obama was in office. Perhaps I - as Glenn discusses in his post - was suffering from my own blogger burnout during most of the 44th POTUS time in office.

My opinion if you're grown - that is over the age of 18 at least - then I really have little issue with you deciding to change your gender. It's your call as an adult to be gender confused or gender fluid and to if you feel the need change your body.
One the other hand, if it's a child or teenager we're talking about who's still developing and they're making such a life changing decision then I consider this a form of neglect. Especially when this could only be a phase and yet parents and doctors decide to engage the young person in traumatic hormone treatment or in some cases surgery - in this case of this Australian child since he wants to be a male again his breasts have to be surgically removed.
The fact that anyone wants to make such a drastic change to their body - to change from their biological gender to their ideal gender - is in my mind due to the treatments involved a traumatic process.
